Day 2
Time to wake up, it's 7:00. I'm not quite awake but I'm ready to play. We have reservations at Spoodles at 8:00. Gene and I have had breakfast here before with some good friends and we really enjoyed it, so we decided to bring the kids. It's a buffet so I'm sure they'll find something they like. I'm very comfortable in this restaurant and they serve the biggest cup of coffee! I never seem to remember what I ate for breakfast but I always remember that cup of coffee!
We're going to spend the day at Disney-MGM studios, race you to the boat! Can you believe how beautiful the weather is? It's so cold at home that this feels like summer and it's very comfortable sitting on the back of the Friendship boat going to MGM. Rachel found her good friend, Rafiki right outside the gate. Did you know that Rafiki means "friend" in Swahili?
Hey, wait a minute everybody, I want to take your picture.
Now we're going on our two favorite rides before the lines get long.
First we ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster and then we get a fastpass to come back after we ride Tower of Terror. Justin rode this once in 1996 and swore he'd never do it again. But he changed his mind and he's going on! Hooray! I have to buy this picture - look at the big smile on his face!
After another ride on Rock 'n Roller Coaster we go on the Great Movie Ride,
visit with Drew Carey in the Sound Stage, travel to another galaxy,
 and visit our favorite muppets.
It's been a busy day and we have plans for tonight, so we're going back to All Stars for an afternoon rest. The kids decide to go for a quick swim. We're relaxed and energized and ready to go back to MGM. The last time we were here we missed seeing Fantasmic and we want to make sure the kids get to see it this time.
Did you ever go to see Fantasmic 45 minutes early and have to sit way over on the end? Did you wonder what time those people in the middle section got there? I can answer that - 2 hours. We bought turkey legs and drinks and went to find a seat. It was two hours before show time and the middle section was filling up. We got perfect seats, right in the middle. I'm glad we got there early and waited, the kids really enjoyed the show. It was Fantasmic!
Would you like to join us on a walk through the Osborne Spectacle of Lights? I've heard about this but I've never seen anything like it. I'm amazed at all the angels...
...and the way the lights look like snowflakes when I look through the special 3D glasses.
I thought this was it, but it goes on and on. There are Christmas lights everywhere! This is beautiful!
Isn't that amazing?!
We have one more fun stop this evening; The Adventurer's Club!
It's just as much fun as always!
