Day 4 - 10/21
Ohhhh, is it morning already? I feel like crap and I didn't get enough sleep. Why don't you head over to the Animal Kingdom with Gene and the kids. I'm going back to bed. Have fun.
Oh, you're back. How was it? What did you do? Yes, I like It's Tough to be a Bug, too. Good thing you did that first before it got crowded. You went on Kali River Rapids twice???! No wonder you're so wet! Good thing Gene taped the Festival of the Lion King, I'll watch it later.
I had a great nap. :) But now I'm hungry.... did you eat, yet? No? Good, let's go to the Concourse Steakhouse. The kids are going to stay here and play video games and eat some casserole that I made at home and brought with us. Let's drive over to the Contemporary!
Here we are at the Concourse Steakhouse. We ate here several years ago, but I can't really remember the meal.
Today we're going to sample a few different appetizer-type items rather than getting a steak. We have French Onion Soup, a tomato and mozzarella stack, crab cakes, onion rings and pizza and we enjoy every dish. I have a feeling that Justin is going to enjoy the leftover pizza and I expect we'll be back again.
Now that we're DVC members, our vacations are much more relaxing. We know we'll be back so we don't try to see everything while we're here. Today is one of those relaxing days. Gene is going for a swim, but I'm going to loaf in the villa and I think the kids might actually take a nap. But there's plenty to see and do within walking distance of our villa, even without going to a park and we all seem to be content with what we're doing. Looks like Gene might even lie down for a rest after his swim.
But the one thing we don't cut down on during vacation is meals! And now that everyone is awake and refreshed, bellies are starting to growl. We have trouble deciding where to eat (it's hard when four different people want to eat four different places), but finally decide on a family favorite - Boma.
The whole family loves Boma. There are plenty of unusual dishes for the adventurous eaters to try and plenty of comfort foods for those of us not so adventurous. I'm not in a mood to even try different foods, so I head right for the Prime Rib. Boma's Prime Rib is excellent! So is the Mac & Cheese. Did you save room for dessert? You just have to try a Zebra Dome, they are so good! One thing for sure, no one leaves here hungry.
Are you ready for the best part of vacation? We're off to the Boardwalk. Here's the deal... I'll give you some money to play games and win stuffed animals, but you have to give the animals to me. Make sure to win a lot of them! Head over there with the kids, they'll show you what to do.
Yes! Look at all the stuffed toys! Gimme, gimme. Now for the fun part... are you ready? See that little girl over there who keeps playing and playing, but can't win anything? The one who looks like she's about to cry? Well, go give her this stuffed dog. How about that tired little boy resting on his Dad's shoulder? Let's give him this pink pig. You get the idea. Go find a little kid and make them happy.
Isn't this the most fun ever???!!
What a great way to end the day!
Hope you get a good night's sleep, we're up early tomorrow to play in Epcot. Mission: Space, here we come!
