Day 4 - 2/14
Good morning! We're all still here and in one piece. :) We have plans today, we're meeting up with Donna and her boys to play at the Animal Kingdom. We're supposed to meet them at the bottom of the walkway to the Tree of Life and there they are! Hiya, gang. Where would you like to go first? How about Dinosaur, I think everyone likes that.
Hey, we brought back an allosaur! Mission accomplished!
Now, how would you like to go back in time on Primeval Whirl? My family loves this ride. But I'm not sitting with Rachel because she always tries to squish me. Ryan is too little to ride, so Donna is going to sit out with him and then she'll ride and I'll watch him. Justin is going to sit out the second time around with us and I give him some money to try to win a stuffed animal for Ryan. He wins two!
Here comes a cast member. She asks if Ryan wants to be a guest cast member. How cool! She has a uniform shirt for him to wear with a name badge that says, "Honorary Cast Member."
He gets to help run one of the games...
... and then they give him a special certificate. :)
How cool is that?!!!
Now let's do something that we've never done before, let's go see the Pocahontas show. Uh oh, Justin says that he's not feeling well. He's going to go look for a rest room, but the rest of us are going to watch the show. We'll look for him when it's over.
The girl in the show is outstanding and I really enjoy the animals. There's Meeko!
A really nice thing about this show is that they only let young children sit in the front so that they'll be able to see the animals. :)
Now, let's go find Justin. He's really sick, he said he was throwing up. I hate to break up out get together, but I think we need to take him back to the room so he can go to bed. Hopefully we can get together again on our next trip.
Justin is going to nap, but Gene and Rachel and I are getting hungry. We're going to go off property again, this time to Jungle Jim's. I don't bring my camera, but I will if we come back. I'm getting the most unusual burger I've ever had, they put peanut butter on it - and I love it!
Now we're going back to check up on Justin and get a rest ourselves. This is our last day of vacation and we want to go to a park and play one more time. Justin is feeling a bit better after his nap and we've decided to go to the Magic Kingdom. It's raining and the park isn't crowded at all. We seem to have missed Adventureland lately, so let's ride on the Jungle Cruise. Be on the lookout for rhinos!
As long as we're over here, how about a trip to the Enchanted Tiki Room?
I like the show, but I can't help thinking that it would be a lot better if Iago would shut up!
Now for our goal - the Pirates of the Caribbean! I never get sick of this ride. Dead men tell no tales!!!
I even find the perfect pirate t-shirt for a souvenir. :)
You know, if we go through that walk way we'll be in Frontierland, right in front of the Country Bear Jamboree. Shall we? I've liked this show since the first time I saw it.
Justin says he's not feeling so hot and both kids are going to catch a bus back to the room. But not us big kids. Next stop - the Haunted Mansion. There's always room for one more ghost.
I'm so glad the park isn't crowded. What would you like to do next? You know, the older I get the more I seem to like It's a Small World. Want to give it a try? It's just around the corner...
The kids have left-overs back at the room to eat, but we're getting hungry. Just one more ride before we go... and this might just be my favorite in the park... Winnie the Pooh! But my favorite character is Eeyore.
Now let's get some dinner. We've decided to have a nice romantic dinner at the Kona Cafe. Oh my, this is wonderful! I get the steak...
... Gene gets the shrimp and scallops and we share both.
Everything is outstanding. It's a great ending to a fun vacation. I hope you had a good time with us. We'll be leaving first thing in the morning, so I'll just say good-bye now.
