I bet if we hurry over to Africa the line to the Safari will be short. Gene's going to try to film the whole ride. I've taken plenty of pictures of this in the past, so I'm just going to enjoy the animals. I think Gene is getting dizzy from trying to look through the camera as we bounce along. C'mere, I want to show you something. Look here, through the bushes. That used to be the hidden path, can you see the stepping stones? Justin doesn't want to go, so he's going to babysit the cameras. But you're coming, right? I'll tell you a little secret that will make the rest of the day more comfortable - take off your shoes and socks. Hurry, it's almost our turn to get in. Just put your shoes in the middle section where they'll stay dry. Don't sit next to Gene, he always gets drenched. As soon as we get to the top of this hill, he always gets the water. No! Wait! Stop! Oh, it got me instead! ;) Rachel is the one who wants to get soaked, but she always seems to come out the dryest. Oh, goodie, there's still a dry corner on my shorts that I can use to clean my glasses. </div> <bR> <div> Don't forget your shoes. Gene and Rachel are going again, but I'm going to man the elephant sprinklers with Justin. We went from 30 degree temperatures at home to a record heat wave in Florida. It feels like August - way too hot and very humid. Gene is taking the video camera and walking on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, but the kids and I are just going to sit on this bench in the shade and eat our ice cream. I hope he gets a good picture of the tigers.</div> <bR> <div> We can't come to the Animal Kingdom and miss Dinosaur. That's our next stop. Only a 5 minute wait, that's great. See if you can make it all the way through without holding on. Here comes the picture. Quick, close your eyes and pretend that you're sleeping. Did you do it? Let's go see the picture.</div> <bR> <div> And then we just have to go on Primeval Whirl. We don't even mind waiting in line for this one. Oh, cool, they're opening up the other side, looks like we don't have to wait in line after all. I'm sitting next to Rachel and boy, is this a big mistake. She just braces herself and pushes against me. She's squishing me! I should have learned my lesson from Big Thunder Mt. I'm going to get even with her next time! Isn't this ride a blast?! Would you like to play some games before we go? Go ahead, we'll wait. </div> <bR> <div> But it's hot and getting crowded and we're getting hungry. Are you ready for lunch? We're heading over to the Rainforest Cafe. You know, it's okay, but not as good as I remember. </div> <bR> <div> Let's head back to the villa and rest for a while before we head off to a different park later. The heat really wears us out. Justin and I are the relaxers, he's playing video games and I'm playing on the computer. Then maybe I'll read a bit or a little nap might be fun. Gene and Rachel are the ones who can't sit still, so they're going swimming. I can't believe they're not back yet. Okay, here they are. Oh, you guys went to Downtown Disney. What did you get me? :)</div> <bR> <div> I swear it's even hotter out, but I really want to get some pictures in The Living Seas, so we're going to Epcot. We're splitting up. Gene is coming with me so he can get in the way while I try to take pictures, and the kids are going off together to explore. Just give me 45 minutes.</div> <bR> <div> I wonder why Future World isn't staying open as late as World Showcase anymore? Well, we still have time to go on Journey Into Your Imagination. We don't really care to go into World Showcase this time. It seems like our last couple vacations have centered around World Showcase and we're going to give it a rest this time. Let's just ride on Spaceship Earth before we leave. Don't fall asleep, this ride won't be around that much longer.</div> <bR> <div> But it's still early, even for us. And we need to get some dinner. Have you ever eaten at the House of Blues? We ate there in 1999, but we really don't remember much about it. I love the Rosemary cornbread. I think Gene's Jambalaya is a little spicier than he was wanting tonight. Rachel doesn't really care for her sandwich. Justin says his is wonderful, but he's getting full. I wonder if he's really getting full or just wants to run over to the Virgin Megastore and look around. You guys go ahead over, and we'll be there in about 15 minutes.</div> <bR> <div> We might as well look around, too. There's a new book out that I want, maybe they have it. Nope. But, look! There's my buddy, Dane, that I met when we stayed at the Yacht Club. Hiya, Dane! I'm so glad we ran into him. Hey, Dane, you're a celebrity, I saw you on the travel channel when Samantha Brown was in the Beach Club! We're staying at the Beach Club Villas in October, I'll stop over at the Yacht Club to say hello. Take care. :)</div> <bR> <div> Now, we have to go back to the villa. It's that time. We have another day of vacation but we're moving to a studio tomorrow, so we have to pack tonight. I sure don't like this part. I'm going to do one last load of clothes, first. That will be all the less I have to do when we get home. Just give me the outfit you want to wear tomorrow and a change of clothes to wear for the ride home - I'll put them in a separate suitcase.
